Cosmetic services available through dermatologist in Jacksonville

Dr. Pentel and the team of Southside Dermatology are here to assist patients with cosmetic concerns. Some of the most common problems brought up to Dr. Pentel are issues such as aging skin, scarring, acne, and vein conditions. Below are just a few of the services available through our practice:

Dr. Pentel provides patients with neuromodulators to address wrinkles and folds on the upper portion of the face. These medications reduce muscle contractions, which smooths the skin and reduces the depth of wrinkles in troublesome areas such as around the eyes, between the eyebrows, and on the forehead. Neuromodulators can also be used in conjunction with injectable fillers.

Injectable Fillers

From Juvéderm to Radiesse, Dr. Pentel and her team provide quality injectable fillers meant to reduce the depth and appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and folds on the face on areas such as around the nose, mouth, and eyes. When combined with neuromodulators such as Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin, patients can experience a complete “liquid face lift” and avoid the need for extensive plastic surgery for mild to moderate aging.

Cellulite Treatment

Cellulite develops on the buttocks and thighs and can be very unsightly and embarrassing. Using some of the latest technologies, the team of Southside Dermatology in Jacksonville can assist individuals by improving the skin and reducing the appearance of cellulite.

Acne Treatment

Acne is a common reason patients visit a dermatologist. It can happen not only to teenagers but to adults as well. Pustules and nodules can be treated using a variety of options including topical creams, oral medications, and even laser therapies. Dr. Pentel can consult with patients to determine the best course of action for addressing acne that is non-responsive to over-the-counter medications.

Hyperhidrosis Treatment

Hyperhidrosis, also known as excessive underarm sweating, can be treated in a number of ways. Some patients can have injections of Botox while others may need prescription-strength antiperspirants. Patients with a severe problem can benefit from a laser procedure which can eliminate the sweat glands and reduce overall problems associated with this condition.

We are now certified in Oncology Esthetics, please call Southside Dermatology & Laser Center at Southside Dermatology on 904-606-9882 to schedule an appointment with Dr.Mary Pentel.
