Fractional laser therapyMany laser treatments are designed to either affect the mid-layer of the skin or the surface. Fractional laser treatments are designed to treat both layers simultaneously, addressing concerns related to environmental factors, aging, sun damage, and more. Our Fraxel fractionated laser treatment is what is called “non-ablative.” This treatment affects only about 20 percent of the skin in the treatment area at a time. The benefit of creating microscopic “microthermal” zones in the skin is that the healing response is maximized for the greatest production of collagen.
