Silhouette InstaLiftTMis the breakthrough facial rejuvenation procedure you have read about in Town & Country and seen on THE DOCTORS TV Show that lifts sagging facial skin without the need for major surgery, scars or general anesthesia. This in-office procedure re-contours your mid-face and cheeks by gently lifting the deeper layers of your skin with resorbable sutures. The treatment is comfortable, requires no general anesthesia and typically takes 45 minutes. You will see results right away and the recovery time is minimal. Over time the sutures will naturally be absorbed by your body, while stimulating the production of collagen to aid in healthy skin renewal for natural-looking, long lasting results.
What is Silhouette InstaLift?Silhouette InstaLift uses dissolvable threads and cones made from a synthetic material called polylactic acid, which is also used in Sculptra. The fully resorbable sutures have bidirectional cones that provide both lift and excellent anchoring to the subcutaneous tissue. Over time the suture material naturally disintegrates and the body creates scar tissue in its place to naturally lift the face. In addition, the polylactic sutures also stimulate collagen production to generate firmer, plumper and more youthful skin for longer lasting results.
Who is a good candidate?Silhouette InstaLift is the ideal minimally-invasive solution for many men and women who are interested in refreshing their appearance without major surgery, injections or lasers. It offers a new and unique technology to lift sagging facial skin.
How is the Silhouette InstaLift procedure performed?During the in-office procedure, Dr. Pentel will begin by marking the areas of desired lift on the patient. Lidocaine is injected locally to numb the insertion points. She will then gently insert a needle to a depth of 5mm and guide it through the subcutaneous tissue and extract at each bi-directional exit point. The sutures have bidirectional absorbable cones that hold them in place. The treatment is well tolerated by patients and typically takes 45 minutes.
How is Silhouette InstaLift different from Thread Lifts and Facelifts?Silhouette InstaLift is an entirely new technology and procedure. Rather than temporarily moving the surface of the skin with hooks and barbs, InstaLift™ repositions the underlying layers of the skin with the patented bi-directional cones. Another very important advance is that InstaLift is fully resorbable and is not permanent. The potential side effects of previous versions of thread lifting are avoided with the InstLift procedure.
A traditional surgical facelift removes excessive skin and tightens the skin. A facelift reduces jowls and drooping but does not address the volume or collagen loss. The Silhouette InstaLift provides you with an immediate lift but over time also stimulates collagen which helps increase and restore volume to the mid-face for natural-looking, long lasting results.
What can I expect after the procedure? One of the major benefits of this procedure is the minimal downtime. Following the procedure you may be swollen, red or bruised. These side effects are common and should resolve within a few days. Some dimpling from the insertion sites may take slightly longer to resolve.
